On Nov 14, 2007, Mr. Somkiat Chinthammit, CEO of Wealth Management System Limited (WMSL), received the SMEs National Award 2006 from Mr. Piyabutr Cholvijarn, Deputy Industry Minister, for being the winner in the Software Sector Category at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

The SMEs National Award 2006 is organized by the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) to seek and support role model organizations which have high production standard and outstanding management. Their objective is to encourage the 2.2 million SMEs throughout Thailand to develop their professional performance such as in Research and Development (R&D) and innovation to face the challenge in a highly demanding and competitive global market and to enhance Thailand’s trade and economy.

The guidelines of the Thailand Quality Award (TQA) criteria, which can be can be compared to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards, are applied to be used as a basis for judging the businesses participating in the contest. This is to give the award to the deserving SME group with efficiency and ability to manage with standards. The competition is expected to be a central platform for the selection of SME entrepreneurs in various business sectors with potential or have effective management.
