As one of the recognized Software vendors in the country to achieve Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 5 in 2012, WMSL’s Software Process Improvement (SPI) Team has been invited to be guest speakers by Thammasat University, Thailand's second oldest university and one of the country’s prestigious international universities. The seminar was intended for Software Engineering Course and was held on the 15th of January 2014 in the Department of Computer Science of Thammasat University. The SPI Team shares their CMMI experience and presented the topic “Process Improvement by CMMI Model” to support universities produce students familiar with CMMI 5 Standard and become quality staff in the future. WMSL's SPI team was represented by Ms. Napasorn Smittakan, Ms. Malida Pholchaivong, and Mr. Suradech Trevitayagran.
WMSL has supported internship programs of universities in order to make students work properly in an environment under CMMI 5 Standard. Consequently, WMSL’s Human Resources Department has been invited by Bangkok University, the largest private university in Thailand, to be one of the guest speakers at their Center for Cooperative Education and Professional Development’s orientation last January 17, 2014. The “Orientation on Cooperative Internship for the School of Business Administration and School of Science & Technology” has the objective to share knowledge and experience with students for preparing them for cooperative internships. Ms. Lanlita Sunsataphol, EVP of WMSL’s HR Department, gave advice to fourth-year university students on how to better prepare themselves for internships and become accustomed to their working environment that observes CMMI 5 Standard on day one.
