The 9th Season of the "Savings Build the Nation" Awards ceremony took place at the Software Park Thailand Building on the 26th of September 2024. This year's theme, "Happy Family, Stepping into a Bright Retirement Together," highlights the importance of strong family relationships, where families gather to learn about financial planning, savings, and investments. The goal is to build a secure and prosperous future for life after retirement.
The project was organized in 2016 by WMSL, the developer of WealthMagik.com, in collaboration with Software Park Thailand. The animation and media development project has already grown to become the largest of its kind in Thailand. It promotes financial literacy and encourages better savings habits for long-term financial security. This year's success of the competition would not be possible without the invaluable support of its partners. These partners include the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), the Thai Animation & Computer Graphics Association (TACGA), and the Thai Bond Market Association (ThaiBMA).
The contest challenges participants to create an animation or short video based on the annual theme. While both categories are open to the general public, the animation category also welcomes student entries. This year's competition saw 214 teams participate, with only 17 advancing to the final round to compete for the title. The panel of judges in the final round included the Deputy Managing Director of WealthMagik Securities, Mr. Jirasak Tonwongwal; the Deputy Managing Director of Vithita Animation and also the Committee of TACGA, Mr. Santi Laohaburanakit; and the Director of Software Park Thailand, Dr. Pattravadee Ploykitikoon.
